I am interested in the transition stage between
temporary and permanent and how the gallery wall has become a physical
embodiment of the formalized and concrete structure’s that govern our
engagement with art.
This work mimics and transplants certain
architectural characteristics through a new temporary relief process. In so
doing, I intend for this work to act as a kind of impermanent reflection of the
gallery environment.
I also want to reference the methodology involved
in maintaining and forming viewing spaces and how they, in themselves, can
become the subject of artistic inquiry and experimentation.
